"Ang Laro ng Buhay ni Juan" Movie

. From the director of “Ang Lihim ni Antonio” and “Ang Lalake Sa Parola”, Joselito Altarejos comes a new film, “Ang Laro ng Buhay ni Juan”.

The film explores two hours in the life of Juan Reyes, known to others as Erwin. Juan is a 25 year old Masbate native who just found his way to Manila three years ago. Erwin has tried his hand at many odd jobs and now works as a live-sex performer at an underground gay bar but has decided to leave Manila for good.

On the day of his departure, he will take us with him as he makes life decisions—big and small. The most important one of all is leaving the impoverished place which he called home for a year, capping it with his emotional goodbyes with his lover, Noel. And, how a raid by the authorities marred his last performance in an underground bar called Inner Sanctum which changed his resolve.

The film shows how “ordinary Juan” distracts himself from the nagging problems of survival in order to continue playing the game called life.

ANG LARO NG BUHAY NI JUAN is the first film produced by BEYONDtheBOX.

Akihiro Sato plunges into acting via Handumanan

But instead, he found romance with a novel writer, played by Chin Chin Gutierez.

"This is my first movie. There's a lot of pressure, a lot of nervousness. But I'm excited to do because this is my dream—to be an actor in the Philippines," sambit ng model turned actor.

Ano ba ang mga naging preparation niya since first time niyang sumabak sa pag-arte?

"We did a lot of workshop and voice language. All the preparations, one month before I did the movie."

"The teacher comes to my home and I study at least two hours a day. And it keeps going and I have friends who also help me with my Tagalog," sabi niya.

"If you become an actor, I have to do whatever you want. Actually sexy, not expose so much. Beautiful movies, of course. I will follow the director," aniya.

How far can he go?

"Actually, basically, I'm a very conservative person. But I will follow the director as long as it's a good movie," sagot niya.

IS AKIHIRO A KAPUSO?

Pero ayon sa kanya, "I still have to talk to my manager, Jonas Gaffud. We plan to do a show, movies, and soap opera."

Sino ba ang gusto niyang makapareha?

"Maraming babaeng maganda rito!" natatawa niyang sabi.

Pero sino ang pinakagusto niya?

"Gusto ko si Marian Rivera. Si Rhian Ramos and Carla Abellana...maganda sila," banggit niya.

"Well, I don't know because I had other talent, Karylle, she's a big talent. Such a nice person. And with Marian, I'll just wait for the next time, for the next opportunity. I'm not disappointed because I'm always happy," sabi niya.

PHILIPPINES OVER THAILAND.

Kasi, the language Tagalog is, I think, I like more," sagot niya, na pinipilit pa ring mag-Tagalog.

Ano ang nakapagpa-attract sa kanya to stay in the Philippines for good?

"The people...like all the people support me," sagot ni Akihiro. "I don't know. I just feel so good here. I just can't explain, but I really like to stay here. Actually, I look more Filipino than being Japanese or Brazilian. That's why I love here. And I have my ID already, I'm a dual citizen now and I'll stay here for good."

"My family was here last month. They can visit me anytime and I can go there anytime. My family knows what is happening here. They know that I have work here and they are happy because they saw me very happy here."

Paolo Rivero's frontal nudity in "Bayaw"

"Being gay in the movies is the most challenging role," pagsang-ayon ni Paolo nang makapanayam siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

"Yung makipaglaplapan ka na lang sa kapwa mo lalake, it takes a lot of guts and enthusiasm to do that! I'm just putting myself into the character's shoes. All of a sudden, magugulat ka, ikaw na pala yun.

"So far, pinaka-daring na ito. Nakumbinsi ako to do frontal nudity here sa Bayaw. Yung ibang nagawa ko, daring na rin in the aspect na may mga gay lovemaking. Iba kasi ito. I really showed my private part here. Naniniwala ako sa film, kaya ginawa ko."

FUTURE POLITICIAN.

I might back out, kasi ang makakalaban ko, cousin ko. Kapag nag-file ako, automatic 'yan, tatakbo ako for vice mayor."

SPREAD OF SEXY PHOTOS.

Kakalat at kakalat yun.

Magkakaroon ng additional screening ang Bayaw sa Cultural Center of the Philippines this Sunday, July 26, at 3:30 p.m.

Paolo Rivero, Janvier Daily , Andrew Miguel in "Bayaw"

. A Relationship Between Bayaw’s

Monti Parungao, the director behind the hit digital film, SAGWAN returns with his next film, BAYAW. Direk Monti describes BAYAW as a movie that combines action, mystery suspense with the gay genre. The film top bills new indie movie king and GAWAD Urian nominee, Paolo Rivero together with comebacking actor, Janvier Daily. BAYAW will premiere in the upcoming Cinemalaya Film Festival in its uncut version on July 21, 2009 at the CCP Little Theater at 9 pm. It is one of the movies that have been shortlisted by the screening board to compete in the prestigious Cinemalaya NETPAC World Cinema competition to be judged by a panel of jurors from across the region. The Cinemalaya NETPAC World Cinema competition is a distinct category formed by CCP to cater to independent producers who will premiere their films during the festival. This is a separate category and competition from the films that were granted funding by the Cinemalaya organization.

BAYAW is a story about the bond between two brothers-in-law. Nilo Vergara (Paolo Rivero) is a policeman who lives an ordinary life with his wife, Pia Jacinto (played by Kaye Alipio, Philippine Survivor castaway). Their lives take an unfortunate turn when Nilo looses his badge to a frame up and is forced to depend on Pia for his livelihood. Pia becomes burdened and resentful of the responsibility of taking care of his husband and her drifter young brother, Rhennan (Janvier Daily). One day, Rhennan witnesses Nilo accidentally killing Pia after a heated argument. Both in-laws decide to run from the law and become fugitives. As the story progresses, the real events behind the death of Pia is slowly revealed through flashbacks and shifts in character points-of-view.

BAYAW also introduces new indie actor, Andrew Miguel, a Laurice Guillen Special Acting Workshop participant and star of the recent controversial straight-to- video release, FRESH MAN. Andrew plays character, Erick Cana, the mysterious figure who saves the two brothers-in-law in the most unlikely times. His devious and sometimes, mischievous intentions complicate the lives of the two lead actors but his connection to Nilo and Rhennan is finally revealed at the end of the movie.

Visually edgy and groundbreaking, BAYAW is ultimately a deep look into the unique and complex relationship of two brothers-in-law that borders between family ties, brotherhood, camaraderie and love.

Theater release of BAYAW is set on August in Robinsons Galleria Indiesine.

Yul Servo and Emilio Garcia in "Dose"

Almost innocent in the embrace of his own charisma, but also somewhat calculating, Danny is light and dark, a devil that’s also the only guardian angel around..”

Marco Morales once again shows what he's got in Big Night

Never akong nag-inarte pagdating diyan, because I believe that's just part of being an actor. I should say that I have to slow down a bit and be more picky.

I just have to think of a strategy to get through the next level," sabi ni Marco sa panayam sa kanya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

So far, wala pa namang sinasabing may nagawa akong basurang pelikula.

"I never do a nude pictorial din naman.

NOT A SOFT-PORN MOVIE.

Ang title nito is The Consul of Sodome, at kasama ko rito si Jordi Molla. Ako ag leading man sa movie. Nagsu-shoot kami sa Metro Manila, and in some places like Binondo. I'm so happy may ganitong mga project na dumarating. Something different. In the days to come, malalaman din naman ninyo ang iba pang detalye," banggit niya.

. In the tradition of Chito RoƱo’s Private Show and Joey Reyes‘ Live Show, Big Night will also revolve in the life of a “torero” or someone who performs a live sex act. The film is directed by Alejandro “Bong” Ramos, the one who helmed the award-winning indie film Haw-Ang (The Harvest).

Big Night is set to premiere on June 24 at the Robinson’s IndieSine in Ortigas and other selected “non-SM” theaters.

"Pitik Bulag" will open on July 1

. All hail tinseltown's newest sex goddess!

For sure, hot-blooded males and avid FHM readers remember April 2009's cover girl, who added more sizzle to the scorching summer with her daring cover shot and revealing photo spreads that left little to the imagination.

Paloma is her name, and sexcitement is her game. The alluring actress makes her much-awaited movie debut in Pitik Bulag, an indie film where she stars opposite Marco Alcaraz and Victor Neri. As early as now, the gossip mill is already abuzz over her titillating and controversial love scenes with Marco where she bares her perfect body.

Directed by Gil Portes, with screenplay by Eric Ramos, the movie is touted as the official launching movie of Paloma. She previously had a stint as one of FHM's sex advice columnists. She is currently a cast members of the GMA-7 teleserye Zorro. She is also the current celebrity endorser of Premiere Condoms.

Marco Alcaraz has been part of primetime teleseryes such as ABS-CBN's It Might Be You and GMA-7's Dyesebel and Pati Ba Pintig Ng Puso? He is also a professional athlete whose movie credits include Aishite Imasu 1941: Mahal Kita, Beautiful Life, Birhen ng Manaoag, Blue Moon, Shake, Rattle and Roll, Don't Give Up On Us, Angels and Manay Po 2: Overload. He will also part of the upcoming GMA-7 teleserye, Rosalinda.

SYNOPSIS. The movie's storyline revolves around Angelo, a downtrodden movie stuntman (played by Marco Alcaraz) who accidentally stumbles upon a bagful of millions taken from a bank heist.

Unknown to the bank robbers (led by Victor Neri), the bag fell out of their getaway vehicle during their escape. As they retrace their path, they find Angelo's wallet, and relentlessly track him down.

Overwhelmed by his sudden stroke of good luck, Angelo shares his story to his wife (Paloma), who convinces him to give part of the loot to the families of the three guards who were killed in the robbery. But their benevolent act doesn't come easy as they try to dodge the robbers (led by Victor Neri) who are hot on their trail. Suddenly, the action star wannabe finds himself in a real-life movie where he fights for his life and the lives of his loved ones.

Pitik Bulag (roughly translated as ‘blind luck'), also stars Victor Neri as the trigger-happy nemesis.

"Tutok" starring Allen Dizon

There is a new indie film which dwells on media exploitation and sensationalism and this film is entitled "TUTOK". "TUTOK" is a dramatic thriller that revolves around the lives of two newsmen, one is an ambitious reporter (portrayed by award winnning actor Emilio Garcia) while the other is a cameraman (played by actor turned producer Allen Dizon). Together, the two men seek instant fame by attempting to cover a story involving rebel leaders. What follows next is a series of events that make the lives of the two men turn into a nightmare. They are forced to participate in homosexual acts and sexual orgies while being filmed by a camera. "Tutok" comprises a good cast which includes Boots Anson-Roa as the concerned mother, Andrea Del Rosario as the reporter's understanding wife, Lloyd Samartino as the feisty television head news executive, Victor Aliwalas as a news correspondent and Ian De Leon as the rebel leader. The film also features newcomer Raymond Cabral as one of the rebels who engage in homosexual activities. "Tutok" is indeed a worthy follow up to award-wining actors Emilio Garcia, who recently triumphed with acting awards through his engaging performances in "Selda" and "Walang Kawala", and Allen Dizon, after his acclaimed performances in "Twilight Dancer" and "Paupahan". The film is about what men are willing to do for fame and the price one has to pay for it. "Tutok" opens in selected Metro Manila theaters on May 27. Watch out for it as it promises to be very controversial.
